Polymyalgia Rheumatica and Giant Cell Arteritis can make you feel terrible in so many ways

I know. I suffered with PMR for four years. It affected me so much that I wrote a book about it.

I'm Kate Gilbert
I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica in 2007 at the age of 54. It came as a complete surprise. I went from active marathon runner to feeling like an old woman overnight.
I had a busy social life, a demanding career, and a three year old grandson to look after. I didn't have time to be ill! But PMR hit me like a train.
It took nearly four frustrating years to recover. The most difficult thing was finding information. So I decided to do something about it.
Here Are Some of the Many Five Star Reviews of My Book
"I only wish this book had been about when I was first diagnosed with PMR. Already I have found tips that have helped me to reduce prednisolone. My GP and Rheumatologist need to read it!"
"Kate Gilbert has written, from her own experience of PMR and using her extensive research into the subject, an excellent and necessary book about these mysterious afflictions..."
"An extremely helpful and informative book. What a relief .....she knows more about the condition than many doctors."
